I always loved being around children. So it came naturally to me to want to convert that passion into a constructive enterpris – One where I could put my heart and soul into children’s growth and all-round development. That’s how the idea of Toddler Town British Nursery was born.

My vision for Toddler Town was twofold:First, to create a unique space which would inspire awe, wonderment and curiosity in children—a space where children could let their imaginations run wild! In line with this aim, a lot of thought and effort has gone into making Toddler Town an ideal environment where children make new and exciting discoveries each day in every corner of the nursery.

Most nurseries in Dubai are housed in constructed villas, presenting a limitation on how they can utilize and customize the space.We faced the opposite challenge when we planned our first branch in JBR as we stared at a vast but empty concrete space. As we made our plan, I realized this challenge would turn out to be our biggest advantage.

From play rooms and extra facilities to a variety of different and distinctive, indoor and outdoor spaces for children to explore, we eventually translated our vision through a meticulously thought out and creative plan.

All we had to do now was to replicate the plan in our second branch in Jumeirah. This was a much larger facility, and matching our top-quality JBR nursery was a challenge. In the end, we built our play spaces in a unique way—unlike anything else you will see in Dubai.

Second, in line with the vision, I aspired for top-quality teachers. We invested heavily in searching for highly qualified, experienced, caring, passionate staff.Our teachers undergo intensive training to achieve the highest standards in childcare practices. I can confidently state that the Toddler Town teachers and other staff members are experts in guiding your child to reach his or her maximum potential in a loving and caring environment.

While waiting for the results after completing my M.Sc. exams, I started a temporary job working at a school. That decision changed my life. Working with children made me realize the importance of providing children with a positive environment that impacts
their personalities and confidence for a lifetime.

Studying and practising Early Years Framework in the UK under Ofsted standard guidelines for six years added much to my passion for early-years education. The first six years of a child’s life are significant for their brain development. I believe that every
child is born with some special learning skills. Children observe, explore, imagine, imitate, and react to different experiences in their own special ways.

Working in Dubai and especially at Toddler Town is a great opportunity to create an environment for children where every child is respected, understood, and motivated. Of the 16 years of my experience working with children, I have spent nearly six years (as of
2020) at Toddler Town.

Aided by a very passionate and efficient teaching team, amazing facilities and a child-centric culture, I’m proud to have built and maintained parents’ trust in Toddler Town over the years. Many parents return every year for their little ones after an older child
has graduated. I feel very lucky to work at such a rewarding place where cute smiles and little hugs are the measurements of our daily achievements.

In the 15 years of my work with education, including managing several well-established nurseries in Dubai, I have been crystal-clear about one trait: Every child is a unique individual. That value has guided me well over the years, and I’m glad that this belief forms a core element of our vision at Toddler Town.

As a UAE expat who grew up in Kuwait and the US for 20 years before returning to Dubai 12 years ago with my children, I care deeply for diversity and that belief organically blends into the value system that guides how we guide the children at the nursery.

There are several ways that the practice of our cherished values translate into reality at Toddler Town. An example is having open lines of communication with parents at all times and always welcoming your views, thoughts and ideas. Supporting the practice of our carefully nurtured vision is the ecosystem.I can easily vouch that we have some of the best facilities and most highly trained and skilled staff in Dubai.
